Yes of course, but I found it interesting that there was work on a
cohesive container format which would package these parts
semantically. In other words, you could bump up the volume of the
guitar in a song if you were trying to learn it...

I see it as a very useful tool, though again, I don't expect it to
become a well documented standard or an open format.
