We've been really hard at work on the Free Culture 2008 Conference to be held on Oct. 11-12 at UC Berkeley. Here are a few updates:
The website is almost ready, you can check it out in its preliminary stage: http://conference.freeculture.org. The Facebook event is up: http://www.facebook.com/events.php?ref=sb#/event.php?eid=29397806775 We have some funding to help with travel for chapter leaders. Everyone who has registered this year should have gotten an invitation. If you haven't registered yet for this school year, it's not too late! You can do so at http://wiki.freeculture.org/Register_a_chapter We're currently looking for volunteers in the bay area and beyond. In particular, we'd *love* it if bay area people would be willing to host a fellow FCer on their couch. We're also looking for people to help with the event, fundraising, organizing speakers, planning the party, etc. Email us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you're interested in getting involved.
