I think that would be an excellent compromise.  It's actually what I
have pre-built for myself. I have 1 jquery.js and 1 jquery-ajax.js,
both of which are packed and ready to be copied into a project.  I
think it would be great to have that choice for everyone right from
the home page. Or even have a jQuery download generator like the one
for Interface. That way the marketing efforts could claim the smallest
file size of the no-ajax file, and also claim that jQuery "includes"
ajax without being untruthful.
