It looks like : isn't a valid character for ID attributes. From http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/types.html#type-name :
> ID and NAME tokens must begin with a letter ([A-Za-z]) and may be followed > by any number of letters, digits ([0-9]), hyphens ("-"), underscores > ("_"), colons (":"), and periods ("."). > I've never used JSF, so I can't speak to how to solve this problem. Is there a way to specify the ID attribute, overriding the normal JSF : usage? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Custome-selectors-use-%3A-as-seperator%2C-which-is-an-official-character-for-id%27s-tf3232451.html#a8986265 Sent from the JQuery mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ jQuery mailing list discuss@jquery.com http://jquery.com/discuss/
