Feel free to add to the REARDME on the i18n repository :) In any case, if you want to start translating, I would suggest you start creating some guidelines and a glossary. I don't know how works in Japanese, but in Spanish we have various forms of the second person (some more formal than others) and genders. Here's the conventions that the translations into Spanish are based into. I'm sure you can re-use the list of the technical terms, or you can adopt one that other open source communities follow: - kde https://jp.kde.org/ - mozilla https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:ja - I'm sure other projects like Libreoffice, ubuntu, etc. have similar pages I think we still have to discuss how to keep lessons updated once the > Japanese (or Korea) lessons are translated. Even in English, many instructors don't like to prepare a lesson to find when they are teaching that the material has changed. As Rémi mentioned in the thread, there's a release mechanism in place: https://github.com/swcarpentry/swc-releases For us, whether there's a changelog or not, the po file generation for updates on the template will be "smart" enough to highlight what's new and what needs review. I also added a couple of scenarios I foresee with multiple languages on the issue #24 <https://github.com/carpentries/lesson-infrastructure/issues/24>. Feel free to add more there if you can think on more. Once I have the call this week I will set a calendar for myself to keep working in the infrastructure and add all the other missing lessons to the repository.
