Good afternoon! Since starting a new position in Michigan about 6 months ago, I've been keeping my eye out for any Carpentries activity in the area without much success. To my knowledge, I am the only instructor at my university, but based on the website map it looks like there might be a few others in the area. I would love to start a community of instructors that will help each other run workshops (full or modified) every once in awhile. Let me know if you are interested!
In addition, I would love suggestions about building up a program at a (for lack of better wording) "Carpentries-naive" campus. Did you get started with single modules or did you jump straight into a full 2-day event? Ff you started with modified workshops, when did you feel comfortable transitioning into a 2 day workshop? And from where did you recruit your non-certified helpers and instructors? Thanks!
