AWS certification is a pretty tall pole - I've been studying for one for a while now and the required knowledge is ... a lot. AWS itself has a lot of free resources though not many are hands on: https://www.aws.training/
That said, one can do a lot of really complex cloud computing with minimal knowledge and no certification. Definitely some overlap with the HPC, especially in the accessing remote systems.
