Let me has you (and Peter) a question: If one were to write a tool that could parse the output of pntadm/dhtadm, and generate an ISC configuration, so that you could trivially migrate your existing configuration to ISC, would that solve your problem? Or are you still dependent upon the actual scripts for managing and updating the database (recall, ISC uses flat files.)
All that said, if you're happy using dhcp on S10, and haven't updated at this late date, why bother updating ever? You can, if you need to, run S10 in a VM (VirtualBox, or otherwise.) So you'll always have a way "out", if you really need one.
