... and the correct response is to explain the insiders-joke until you're
blue in the face.  Regardless of how annoyed you may get.

Seriously, I helped co-found our local Linux / Open Source user group; and,
every so often I have to hear someone complain about why we're all LOSURS.
It's geeky / self-deprecating humour people!

Anyways, I was going to suggest - as I've done before, shortening
OpenIndiana to OpenIndy.  So long as it didn't infringe on any trademarks,
or such.  (I mean, wasn't there Indy equipment from Silicon Graphics Inc.,
way back???)

Regardless, I have the openindy.org and openindy.net domain names to
donate, or redirect.  I reserved them after I first suggested them.
However, such a move would still would leave the acronym as O.I. for
better, or worse now apparently.

Myself, I don't care what it's called -- it's the core system and
technologies that matter.  That said, I like to think I can pick-out good
names; but, nothing can please everyone all the time.
