Ah, but that would make sense. :-) When I think cars and gas and oil, I automatically think "Special Interest Groups". Not an impossible nut to crack, as we're seeing. But it takes a long time to pull off a major shift in thinking, especially when there's a lot of money to be made keeping things the status quo.
