The other day at work I was thinking about this. I came to the realization that at work our designs are sort of incidentally 'green'.
I work on software for nonprofits. The software I work on supports resolutions of 1024 x 768 and above. By supporting lower resolutions (although few of us are going to want to go back to 800 x600), customers don't have to buy new monitors. Although, I'm not sure what the power consumption difference is between a brand new LCD and older monitors. I wouldn't call this Sustainable Design since it is lacking the element of intent, but I wonder in what other other ways we might be incidentally green. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
