I think that's very confusing. If the user is not logged in, then
present a simple "Login" link. If he's logged in, then present
"Username / Logout". That's the convention on most websites.

I would also ditch the Hi thing. If it was only on the homepage, then
that's fine but on every page kinda looks like a demented guy
welcoming you over and over again.
