The primary motivation is content collection. we have good content, but we need more to make the site work, so your contribution is simply necessary.

We have amazing conversion rates right now, and so it seems to be working.

We think our content is worth something, but that the best currency for the internet is information itself.


Also, is it more of a marketing move like 'invite only' accounts to get the
momentum going or is it intended to be a continuing model.


the intent is to run with this model for quite a while - we'll have to see


The biggest interaction challenge with the site was the "give to get"
