Having a Sidekick II prior to the iPhone, I heavily used text/email, internet surfing, calendar, contacts, and games. What's changed:

1) Maps - Use them to give directions to strangers, directions to events and driving cross country (used to locate grocery stores, etc).

2) Clock feature while traveling - I don't trust hotel clocks.

3) Watching/listening to podcasts. Play music in my car on long drives. My iPod never leaves the house now - it's my "home stereo".

4) Take and upload more photos to Flickr. The camera isn't great, but it's better than the Sidekick II.
