Unless Chrome gains significant market share, I doubt we'll need to alter the way we develop web apps much. That said, it is still a good idea for developers to take a look under the hood for two reasons. 1) We'll be better prepared to mobilize our apps to Chrome when and if it becomes more accepted, and 2) as developers, we have the opportunity to do something really cool.
