Founders I cited were obviously colorful shorthand for shareholders, as I have also specifically mentioned them. In fact, I went further to make the point: "I bet the shareholders of your company (with our without a profitable business model) wouldn't mind seeing a $4 billion payoff day. It's the American way." Perhaps there's a parallel universe where "business" success means something other than shareholders in a company getting satisfaction, but I'm not living in it.
