Dear friends, do you have any idea or recommendation to me about the
evolution of electric, electronic or digital musical keyboards? They evolved
from mechanical keyboard instruments such as piano, organ, cembalo or
clavichord; and started appearing in 1940s. Their interface and
interaction with the musician have been evolving and developing since then.
Today their interface have nearly reduced (or simplified) to only an LCD
screen.

This great evolution from mechanical to digital have led those keyboards
take over the place of an orchestra generally: a high quality digital
keyboard can sometimes be as capable as an orchestra today. Here the
interface or interaction designer have an important role for improving the
interaction. Do you have any idea about keyboard-performer interaction?

Best regards...
