I agree with the masses here. Mice and keyboards are remarkably
efficient devices.

I try to imagine operating my microwave with a Wiimote, running
photoshop with a multitouch screen (what, fingers aren't
transparent? who knew?), or using voice commands for practically
anything.

They are all novel technologies, and all are finding their niche
uses, which is great. But I seriously doubt any of these will replace
the doorknob on my house, whose behavior is almost universally
understood, requires no electricity, and operates more efficiently
than any alternatives. And similarly, I find it hard to imagine that
any of them will allow me to enter this comment as efficiently as my
keyboard and mouse.
