Kordian - do not afraid of using the accordion. I wasn%u2019t sure about this solution and pretty afraid of users%u2019 opinion. But they loved it. Not only we achieved our goal (to simplify a very complicated navigation) but also it was very eye catchy for them. A very positive feedback during the user tests.
I used non-automatic accordion (first panel opened by default), with fixed height of the whole accordion (particular panels with different heights). Pozdrawiam!
