Hi everyone, IxDA is in a position where different organizations, both for- and non-profit, approach IxDA and are interested in finding ways to collaborate with us (and sometimes it is us instigating with them, as well). There are many things to weigh when considering how complex these relationships can (and should) be. Do our missions intersect in complimentary ways? Are there events both organizations attend that makes a natural connection? Does our work intersect (or should it)? Are there things we can do together that enhance our individual orgs? Are there practitioners in one org that we want to reach (think the amazing developer network for Mozilla Labs)? Should the individual members be aware of one or the other org, and they currently aren't?
I'm interested in hearing about your involvement and ideas with these organizations. Tonight, I'm interested in your involvement with AIGA. I'm continuing a conversation with Ric Grefe, the Executive Director of AIGA, this week, and I'm curious about those of you who consider yourselves AIGA members. Outside of our own brainstorming, I'm curious: Are there areas of intersection and collaboration that come to mind for you between the two orgs? Feel free to respond publicly or to contact me directly, about this or any other potential collaboration you have in mind. thanks, Janna DeVylder President, IxDA ________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the Interaction Design Association (IxDA)!
