Hello, As an active member of AIGA and a VERY recent member of IxDA, I see a potential in the relationship. With the current economic situation, I see most clients needing wanting interactive media. Most AIGA members are great visionaries but do not have the ability to consider the interaction. They can make it look god (especially in print) but have no clue in an interactive environment.
If there is a relationship, know that in the beginning most AIGA members will be focused on making things look good and not in the study of interaction. This is in part to the fact that most AIGA members are print designers who now are looking to design for the web. I personally would love to see a relationship between the 2 groups and would be interested in helping here in Chicago. I see a huge need for this even though it will be a challenge in the beginning. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
