Suggest that you need "time" to understand the business well you are either working for or consulting with. It takes time. Other considerations: * Know which part of the business or product you want to focus on. You will not be able to solve all of the issues at once * Uncover the strategy or lack of strategy in the business (you will be amazed at how many companies lack some sort of strategy or vision) * Be aware that selling ROI is not for everyone. * Be sure you have done your home work i.e. start on something that can show a quick win before making too many statements on how you can save a business lots of money.
