I haven't gone searching the archives on this, but I don't recall
ever seeing anything on the list about contacting your legislatigve
people on concerns with any piece of legislation that may impact our
profession BEFORE they go about voting on it.  It may be good/bad or
even somewhere in the middle, but there hasn't been much traffic
in the lists about anything tied to upcoming legislative issues.

I think that the CALEA wiretap stuff was the last issue that made it
almost any mailing list, and that was in 2004.

To me this is an indcation that as a group, do we really care
what congress knows about our profession?  As individuals are
we making our voices known?
