The general idea is for the list to serve as a forum for both announcements and discussions about things that are happening at LISA (e.g. looking for dinner buddies, promoting your BoF, announcing a game night, etc). It isn't intended to be a permanent list, though. We'll delete all the members after LISA this year and if the list is useful we can use it again in the future. Many of us will be on IRC in #lopsa-lisa as well. Also, just to be clear, there is no LOPSA membership requirement to join the email list or IRC channel. :-) Thanks, Matt Disney
