The summer I turned 18, I worked construction in a small town in Wisconsin.  We 
were doing finish work on an Autozone that was slated to open that fall.

I drove past the store last year-- it's still standing.

The pay was miserable, the coworkers were unfriendly, and I went to bed every 
night sore from head to toe-- but nothing I've done since has lasted half as 
long, or been nearly as satisfying.
