My father ran a dairy farm in northeaster Pennsylvania, and I was the
eldest of his children, thus I got most of the work. My summer days as a
teenager were spent milking cows at 6 A.M. and at 8 P.M., and mowing or
baling hay between.
These days, I'm taking up a hobby of sewing. I recently acquired a 1929
Singer model 66 (converted to electric) from a coworker and am beginning
a project to make one or more of these:
