In my current position I need to knoww the following info:
Location
Serial Number
IP (We use a lot of static IPS, no DNS for internal stuff)
Type
OS
Service Tag (MFGs Identity)
Warranty Status
Purchase Date
In Service Date

Just to name a few things I need.
