I don't know about you all, but I've always struggled with managing

i've used a number of different password managers over time, but was
never satisfied with them. Keepass was pretty good, but keeping
everything sync'd between at least a half dozen devices was impossible.
I used Password Safe for a long time and then switched to Keepass a few
years ago. We use it at work too. (Both of these run just fine on Linux,
either through ports or as Windows binaries with Wine or Mono.)
I don't want to use a crypto app that is closed source, or that stores
my passwords on someone else's server who knows where. What if they've
built-in a backdoor and some disgruntled employee discloses the details
to criminals?
