Oh, I wholeheartedly agree on this. Which is why I asked Evan to suggest what it was he would amend on the bylaws that was cramping the Board's style, because other than a slight squabble over the use of the word "Chapter", I've not seen any occasions (during my board tenure anyway) where we wanted to do something and were like "Shoot, and we would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling by-laws". I'm willing to concede that maybe they had something come up that was nix'ed by by-laws since my term, but it's hard for me to imagine.
