Does LOPSA send an email to past members, say every six months?
I honestly do not remember the last time I renewed, I am probably no longer a member, I suspect the one renewal email just hit me at the wrong time (crazy busy or on hols). I also suspect that there are a lot of other people like me out there.
Another alternative would be to make a fuss about renewing once a year, drowning the mailing list with reminders to everybody to renew if they haven't, maybe do a membership promotion at the same time (send an email to your colleagues about LOPSA), maybe on sysadmin day or the week/day before that?
