I've actually been figuring out the "right" way to send an email to the
people subscribed to the LOPSA mailing lists who aren't members, sort of as
an advertisement.

One of the things that I want to start doing is sending an email to
discuss@whenever a LOPSAgram comes out, and include the headlines, but
not the
bodies, with a "You could read the rest if you were a member" kind of
thing.

We keep getting changeover in the Tech Services Committee leadership, which
makes it hard to get things like this off the ground, but I'm convinced
that Chan is going to do really great things in the role. I just haven't
bombarded him with the, "Hey, lets do fun things to the mailing list" thing
yet, either (which is also why there's been no official movement on the
mailing list merging).
