I pretty much echo Andre's feelings here. I prefer 2-3 day stand-alone
events, but it is harder to justify the travel. Also, I agree that
co-locating with other events is hard since you typically get a day at most
unless you overlap with the other event.

My order of preference would be:
1.) 2 full days when co-located with another 2-day event
2.) 2 full days when co-located with another 3-4 day event (using a weekend
day if need be)
3.) 3 full days as a stand-alone event
4.) 2 full days as a stand-alone event
