The approval of Kay Zmith is always welcome.

I don't think that would be appropriate, since SkSp as an organization isn't in
a position to buy the printer.

I'll admit, I did buy keyfobs with Kay's approval, but those were something
SkSp would have normally reimbursed any purchaser for.

Pay the extra money and get something still supported. Maybe we could grab

    Hey,

So, after one day of fundraising, we've raised $1000 for the 3d printer!
$350 more and we hit our original goal! For more info, check out he wiki
    page I've been updating:
    http://www.skullspace.ca/wiki/index.php?title=3d_printer

That being said, Brian has a bit of a concern about the particular
    printer we're looking at: we're paying $1000 for a used, 2-year-old and
unsupported model. If a non-printable part goes on it, we're gonna have
    a bad time.

For about $1500, we can get a printer that's still supported, and that
has a lot of really good reviews. I don't know any details, other than
what he told me at the gym, but I wanted to put this out there.

My suggestion is that we look at at least 2 or 3 options - including the
used one that's been offered to us. If it's a matter of raising a couple
hundred more to get something that'll last us longer and be better in
the long run, I think it's worth shooting high.

Feel free to discuss here, and I hope we can make a final decision in
Tuesday's meeting! Feel free to update the Wiki page with any other
    options you see.

    Ron
