The tech list is all good. Having a members-only list: - Gives a false sense of security - Goes against our principle of openness - Limits the discussion that non-members get to see, especially if it takes away 'a lot of traffic'
I'm against it. If people want to discuss sensitive matters, they should do it in person or via encrypted email. Encouraging people to discuss sensitive stuff on a private mailing list that has 40+ people subscribed is opening the door for having a Bad Time.
