Wiring
-----------
Done: 6x wires from above-bathrooms to downstairs door
Done: 5x wires from server rack to above-bathrooms
Done: 3x wires from above-bathroom to end of classroom
Almost done: 6x from server rack to roof - need to tension guy lines
better, trim zipties.
Todo: 3x wires from server rack to lounge switch, main wifiAP on
lounge ceiling, and VGAoCAT5 for projector
Todo: 2x wires from server rack to workbench and middle table area
Server area needs more wire clean-up, wires patched down to panel and
labeled.
To be done correctly, in some places (horizontal runs) cabling needs to be
held by metal, not plastic.
Later I'll put together a shopping list and plans to get old runs
corrected.
Doorbell
------------
Todo: Need to setup relay so the bell will ring when the card access
system's power is disconnected.
Touchscreens
------------
Thor, Jeremy and Mark are working on getting the correct serial touchscreen
driver. After that we
can set them up inside/outside the space as terminals for calendar etc.
Cameras

Installed 9: N+S rear parking lot; back door; elevator; outside Sksp2
door; outside front door;
inside front door; N part of front street; roof view incl. internet antenna

I bought a 1x4 VGA splitter from Monoprice and eBay VGAoverCAT5 adapters*
so that the view from the security PC can be sent to the currently-unused
second VGA inputs on the projectors. Still waiting for the adapters.
Documentation

I need to label wires; also update the networking wiki page, but my login
for the wiki is on a laptop 3ft
away from me right now (didn't install VNC server on it) and getting there
is work.
Projectors
-----------
Sksp lounge: I'm getting the same MP stand so it can be roof-mounted too.
Classroom: need to install wire guide to make VGA run nicer.
Both of these will have a line from the VGA splitter delivered over cat5.
Main Sksp2 door
-----------
Doesn't always shut automatically as the frame is tight - I think it just
needs a bit of wedging apart in some places
Network upgrades
----------
We've had the hardware to upgrade the 10x4mbit backup AW link to 100x100mbit
since the beginning but it's quite a few hours to setup/configure/install,
low priority.
High-end HP 2.4+5.xGhz wifi AP was donated by Nate (now is the "skullspace"
SSID), need to find/print a mount for the ceiling.
Should setup a PC (Zewwy's?) running MRTG to log traffic statistics on all
switch ports,
maybe even local temperature and network rack power usage (measured at
UPSes).
Will soon get a new sksp main internal router (Mikrotik RouterBoard 450G)
and change the 192.168.1.x net
to below. This'll allow VPNing in, separate networks, redundant uplinks,
QOS, also IPv6.

will make one for Sksp after re-ip.
Card access control
-----------
VM is working well, some final tests and fixes to do before remote access
is complete.
Skullspace door: allowing landlord access and easy exit
---------
I got a motion detector from eBay to allow auto-unlocking when
people get close to the door inside, but in the process of converting its
relay
from connecting the positive terminal to connecting the negative terminal
I seem to have broken something since now it won't un-detect after boot.
Got a different one that I'll try to setup.
Door access for landlord/staff without keyfob: may be possible to move the
current deadbolt to the "main" doorknob to make it work, but this is
far on my to-do list right now, or $500 to get done by a locksmith.
This would also allow exit without needing to push a button - preferable.
Another option people mentioned would be a keypad at the door - this is easy
and cheap to do but I'd rather have the standard key option.
UPSes
-------------
Square 600VA unit has a dying battery, will move the machines (Mak's and
Ayecee's IIRC) off it.
Nate's huge unit (always funny saying that) reports a battery error, I'll
check wiring.
Hooking access control to fire alarm for auto-release:
-------------
Should be easily doable, I need to check what is required.
