The _only_ problem with what you are suggesting is center bezel.

I hate the idea of an eyefinity group of 2x2 or 1x4 or ... anything that
uses even numbers.

Also, they keep stating in their product descriptions "ultra thin bezel". I
don't think that word means what they think it means.

If I built this out of laptop screens, the 3x3 array would have physical
separation of pixels (including both bezels) of less than 6mm. With a glass
IPS display, I don't think you can do it in less than 40mm.
