I use an older receiver/amp exclusively for music so I don't have the luxury of using the SB's digi output.
I was fortunate enough to have received my SB1 less than 30 days prior to SB2 being announced and since I had issues streaming lossless audio, Slimdevices honored their guarantee and accepted my SB1 for refund. In the interim I borrowed an Airport Express and can't help but notice how much higher the output level is and how much brighter the resulting sound feels.
