1. itunes enabled, so it will pick up the music folder itself.
2. itunes disabled with the music folder pointing at the itunes music folder if you know what I mean.
Because I don't think anyone else has seen this I'm starting to think it's my music files, although they are okay in 5.4.
I'll send them tomorrow, getting late here and it takes nearly an hour for each wipe/rescan.
