hrm. I've never had this happen for me, so I'm really guessing here. I'm sure it will turn out to be something simple. What file types are you trying to play? Is it getting stuck on similar tracks? same drive location, etc? can you turn on d_source debug flag and then look at the log when you try to play a track? What you will see is the server looking for a valid playback command (in case of transcoding), then the "track start event", which indicates the point in time where the hardware should start producing audio.
