Slimserver is running on RHEL4. I lost the player and restarted it, and turned on the logging, mostly MP3 files but current test is with a wav, its definatley not a particular song issue as its the same library that is playing fine on my SB1. Below is some output from the SB2 when trying to play a song. SB2 will find tracks, browse folders etc, will find network, but starting to play the time does not increment?

hrm. I've never had this happen for me, so I'm really guessing here.
I'm sure it will turn out to be something simple.

What file types are you trying to play?
Is it getting stuck on similar tracks? same drive location, etc?

can you turn on d_source debug flag and then look at the log when you try to
play a track?

What you will see is the server looking for a valid playback command (in case of
transcoding), then the "track start event", which indicates the point in time
where the hardware should start producing audio.

Also worth trying, along the lines of possible client confusion, is to wipe the
prefs file, c:\program files\slimserver\slimserver.pref and let the server
start fresh, just in case something has been mixed up.
