How about cutting a dado in the back of the face frame, just deep enough
that if you stick in the hook or fabric side of some stick-on velcro, then
when you stick the other side to the wall the whole frame sits flush
against the drywall? That assumes, of course, that the stick-on adhesive
on the velcro is stronger than the hook-to-fabric velcro connection,
otherwise (and this is what would happen to me :-) the first time you try
to pull the frame off it'll take a huge hunk of the drywall paper and paint
off, in a big stripe up to the ceiling or down to the floor, or both.
