Where did SS original browser go?

The SlimServer tray application was apparently not working too well (still works fine for me here), so it is no longer supported and you won't find it in new versions.
Sort of. The old SlimServer.exe application has been retired. A new SlimTray.exe has replaced it which is a proper tray application and simply launches your web browser when activated.

SlimTray should appear as a Squeezebox icon in your system tray and show a menu of choices, which include starting and stopping your server as well as opening a web browser with the SlimServer interface inside.

Does this explain the issues seen?
