Right, but looking at subversion there was a block of code addressing
that which was taken out at the same time as the boom branch was merged
(as far as I could tell). That may have been intentional, but according
to the OP putting that block back fixes the problem, so it at least
seems worth investigating. May have been a regression due to the merge,
I know I do that kind of thing all the time :)
