It has a low power mode, you see that when you leave it on table unattended for a while, sadly its not so quick when resuming ca 7 second you see the spinning circle for a while.
An enhancement request would be to let the user choose this mode when it's in its cradle, I would not use that as i use the clock screensawer when it's loading the battery.
