Does your receiver have a 12v remote switched output (most do)?  If so,
you can buy devices that take this output and power on and off a full
power outlet to any device you want (unlike many switched outlets which
can only handle low power devices).  I can't remember the brand/model of
the one I have, but it works perfectly and I never pay any attention to
it, so let me know if you want me to look it up.  It cost like $75,
which seems expensive, but it's pretty industrial strength I think.
