I believe any version of the Vostro has room for a second drive. I would install a seperate drive for your music rather than create a second partition. That way the OS and software can be backed up and defraged seperate from your music files. BTW, 15 minutes is way too long. You need to check and see what is in you startup files. Are you familiar with MSCONFIG?
