That's why that popup comes up when you first start iPeng which is supposed to tell you about this.
The reason I'm not doing the modal behavior (and I never will) is that iPeng is not made to be used once. And as soon as you use it a few times, the modal dialogs in Squidgy, IMHO, become EXTREMELY unnerving. At least for me. Also, I've used Squidgy quite a bit and I still get lost in it's menus. Modal diaglogs may be easier for new users but they are not a good UI solution. And they don't offer an "intermediate" step until you know the app since while useing the modal dialog, you don't learn anything. The icons are taken from SqueezeCenter's WebUI (at least the style) so experienced SC users will know them. For all other's: there's quite a bit of online help if you follow the link in iPeng's help screen. > > Also, in iPeng and Squeemote, how do you play Random Songs? > Next release. In iPeng there's currently a workaround in that you can select a random playlist (with the random play plugin) in the Web Interface, save sthat as a favorite and activate that favorite through iPeng. -- pippin --- see iPeng at penguinlovesmusic.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55514 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
