Well the thing is, i already made some connection and input swapping to test what's wrong, including following situations:
switching to SB input from the input where no device is connected. thump connecting sources to different inputs switching to SB input from the input with ipod dock connected. thump disconnecting SB switching between inputs with other devices connected. no thump this made me think (i still think so) that the issue is SB related. Well by the way, the amp is the sony TAF5000 which is grounded (3 pin IEC socket). The other sources are CD Player Sony CDPX5000 (grounded) DVD Player Oppo DV 980H (grounded) Apple iPod Dock (no PS connected) Musical Fidelity V-DAC (grounded i assume, it's PS is a UK 3PIN power brick) Everything is connected to one high quality multiple socket outlet. I also tried connecting the SB to a different wall outlet, and not to the multiple outlet for no avail. I will test as suggested if disconnecting everything but the SB will solve the problem as soon as i can. Thanks all for you help.
