The British have many odd expressions, and in this context they would say that someone was "made redundant". To me, that conjures up a mental image of crowd full of such people who have been made to keep saying the same thing over and over again. It's a silly expression. Thank goodness the world has us Americans to act as proper shepherds for the language. Otherwise, we'd all be speaking like they do ;-) -- Goodsounds ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Goodsounds's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14201 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60891 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
