It's been a while since I followed the progress of 11n at all closely, but I know greenfield preamble was optional, so depending on your particular equipment, going to pure 11n mode may not have invoked greenfield preamble. But that also shows the weakness of doing a test on a sub-set of the gear available and claiming that anyone who gets different results is "wrong". Of course, I may also be wrong if they took greenfield preamble out of the spec by now. But as far as I know the WiFi Alliance is still testing for it, if implemented.
